5-Day JR Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass
This regional train pass provides unlimited access for 5 consecutive days to the transport networks in the Kansai and Hiroshima areas. The pass is exclusively for tourists, with validity starting on the activation date, enabling you to explore Japan at your own pace.
What Does the Pass Include?
The pass offers extensive coverage, allowing travel in major cities of the Kansai region such as Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. It also includes the Hiroshima area for visiting sites like the Peace Memorial Park and the island of Miyajima, as well as access to Okayama, Takamatsu, Kinosakionsen, and Shirahama.
Means of Transport
- Includes JR rapid and local service trains, and buses in the area
- Use of the JR-West ferry to Miyajima Island
- Travel on the Limited Express Haruka train to connect Kansai International Airport with Kyoto
- Reserve up to 6 seats on Sanyo Shinkansen trains and express trains
How Does the JR Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass Work?
After booking, you will receive a confirmation with a QR code that must be exchanged for the physical pass in Japan. Show your passport to activate the pass, which starts counting the 5 days from the activation date until 11:59 pm on the last day.

- This ticket is for international visitors only.
- The electronic voucher must be exchanged within 3 months after purchase.
- Seat reservations can be requested for trains you plan to use.

This is not the official ticket. After booking, within 5 business days, you will receive an electronic voucher (QR code) in PDF format by email.
How to Exchange the Ticket?
In this link, ou will see where to exchange the pass depending on the area where you are located. There are 3 steps to find the offices you need to go to:
1) Select the pass you have booked: Kansai - Hiroshima Area Pass
2) Exchange the MCO/E-Ticket purchased at a travel agency
3) Select the destination where you want to exchange the pass
Once you complete all the steps, the offices you can go to will appear along with their opening hours.
How to Reserve Seats on the Trains?
To reserve the trains, you can also do so at the machines located in different stations. To do this, you can see the instructions to follow in this link. You can also do it at the offices shown in the first link. If what you want is to reserve seats, then you should follow these instructions in the section "Receiving reserved seat tickets > digest (photo guide)" in this link. Not all trains allow seat reservations. In addition, there is a limit of reserved seats with this pass.

Important Info
- Keep in mind that the electronic voucher must be exchanged within 3 months (90 days) after purchase
- The exchange can be made at one of the indicated locations, whether at the machine or at the counter. During the exchange, you will have to present your passport
- The days will be counted from the activation date until the last day at 11:59 pm
