Traditional Kimono Rental
Immerse yourself in the local culture by wearing the famous kimono while you explore the city's streets, allowing you to feel like a genuine Japanese citizen.
At the kimono rental shop, you will learn about the difference between the kimono and the yukata, and select the model that suits you best. The complete rental package includes the obi (wide belt), sandals (wooden or leather, depending on your chosen model), socks, tunic, and bag.
Your kimono can range from elegant to fun, traditional, or striking. The choice is yours!
Collection Point & Opening Hours
You can pick up your kimono at the Yumeyakata kimono rental shop at the specific time selected during the booking process. You must return the kimono the same day at the same location before the store closes, with the latest return time being 4 pm.
If you pick up your kimono early in the morning and return it at closing time, the maximum rental time will be 7.5 hours. Please be aware that if you come to the store later in the day, the rental time will be shorter.
Returns after 5:30 pm are not permitted, and it is not possible to return the kimono the following day.
How It Works?
Upon booking, you will select a specific time for the kimono pickup at the Yumeyakata rental shop. You will be provided with all necessary items for your experience, including the kimono and accessories.

Important information
This voucher is not a valid ticket for the activity. You must print, or display on your mobile, the PDF containing the QR code which was attached to the confirmation email you received after making the reservation.
Collection point & opening hours
You can pick up your kimono at the Yumeyakata kimono rental shop (600-8104 128, Manjujicho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto-shi) at the specific time you selected during the booking process. Please note, however, that you must drop off your kimono that same day at the same location before the store closes.
Therefore, if you pick up your kimono early in the morning and drop it off at the closing time, the maximum rental time will be 7.5 hours. If you come to the store later in the day, the rental time will be shorter.
Returns after 5:30 pm are not allowed, and it is not possible to return the kimono the next day.
Important
Hair accessories are not included. We recommend that you wear clothing which is easy to put on and take off. In winter we recommend wearing a vest or leggings under the kimono.
