Approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) from La Paz, we will discover Tiwanaku, the heart of the ancient Tiwanaku civilization. This impressive pre-Inca archaeological site is home to significant landmarks such as the Akapana pyramid, known for its distinctive cross-shaped layout, and the Kalasasaya ceremonial enclosure, once serving as a calendar.

Following our site visits, we will explore the archaeological museum alongside the lithic museum of Tiwanaku, showcasing tools and artistic works in need of conservation.

Before heading back, you will have an hour and 15 minutes to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
