Lake Titicaca Catamaran & Sol Island Visit

Your adventure begins at 6:30 am, when we'll pick you up from your accommodation in La Paz. A scenic drive will take us to the sanctuary housing the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, a renowned center for pilgrims.

Once we arrive, you'll step aboard our catamaran and set sail across the magnificent Lake Titicaca, known as the world's highest navigable lake.

On our way to Sol Island, the most extensive island in the lake and once the heart of the Inca Empire, be prepared to be mesmerized by the stunning vistas surrounding us. According to local lore, this is the birthplace of Viracocha, the Incan Sun God.

Our first stop will be the island's gardens and the Inca Fountain, followed by an exploration of the Inti Wata archaeological complex. This site is a notable highlight of both Sol Island and the entire country.

During our visit, you will also have the opportunity to explore the Ekako underground museum, as well as observe the traditional practices of medicine and the creation of totora reed rafts. We will wander through agricultural terraces, appreciating the diverse flora and fauna including local herds of Andean camelids near the Manco Capac viewpoint.

Before departing Sol Island, take a moment to relax on a traditional totora reed raft. The views of the Pilkokaina Palace from this vantage point are simply breathtaking.

After our raft adventure, we'll return to the catamaran to indulge in a sumptuous buffet lunch while continuing our cruise on the lake. Our journey will ultimately bring us back to the mainland, where a bus will transport you to your hotel, with an estimated arrival time around 7 pm.

Finish in Puno

If you prefer, ending the catamaran cruise in Puno is an available option. The itinerary remains consistent with what has been previously outlined. Following lunch, we will transfer you to Puno by bus.
