Salt flats, mountain ranges, and arid dunes: embark on a journey to explore one of the most breathtaking desert settings in the United States with this day excursion to Death Valley National Park departing from Las Vegas.

Details of the Day Trip

Apart from its ominous name, Death Valley stands as one of the most stunning areas in the Mojave Desert, renowned for its scorching summer temperatures and recognized as the lowest elevation point in North America.

We will commence our trip with a 1.5-hour drive to Death Valley National Park, situated at the Nevada and California border. Along the way, we will traverse the stark landscape and make several stops at notable landmarks, beginning with Rest Stop Area 51, a quirky gift shop adorned with an alien theme. Afterward, we will visit the Death Valley Nut & Candy Co., followed by a glimpse of Rhyolite Ghost Town, before entering Hell's Gate, the iconic entrance to Death Valley National Park.

As we proceed, we will reach the renowned Mesquite Sand Dunes, continuing on to various must-see attractions such as Badwater Basin, a remarkable salt flat lying at 86 meters (282 feet) below sea level, and Zabriskie Point, which offers stunning vistas of the distinctive terrain.

During our journey through the valley, you'll witness the diverse features of this extraordinary area: impressive mountain heights, expansive valleys, sand dunes, canyons, and undulating hills adorned with vibrant mineral colors.

After approximately 10 hours filled with discovery, we will head back to our starting location.

Tour Options

When making your reservation, you can select one of the following choices:

Day Trip With Hotel Pickup

By opting for this choice, we will pick you up from your Las Vegas hotel at the scheduled time and return you to your accommodation at the conclusion of the tour.

This option includes an extra stop in the nearby town of Pahrump, a quaint Nevada community known for its wineries, where we will take a brief break during our return trip to Las Vegas. Additionally, you will enjoy a tasty American-style breakfast near the Mesquite Sand Dunes.

Day Trip Without Hotel Pickup

If you choose this option, you will be required to arrive at one of the following collection points in Las Vegas:

• Luxor Hotel: meeting at 6:30 am at the north entrance, lower level adjacent to the Uber Ride Share sign
• Treasure Island Hotel: meeting at 6:45 am on the sidewalk next to the Bell Desk

Keep in mind that this option does not include a stop in Pahrump. Instead, we will allocate that time to explore additional sights within Death Valley. Breakfast is not included with this choice.
