Le Puy-en-Velay Cathedral Complex Ticket
The Cathedral of Le Puy, situated in the picturesque region of Auvergne, has been recognized as a World Heritage Site due to its outstanding cultural significance within the French Way of St. James.
Your ticket grants you access to the Le Puy-en-Velay Cathedral Complex, which features the notable cloister and the chapter house.
The gem of this complex is its exquisite Romanesque cloister, renowned as one of the prettiest in Western Europe. Constructed during the Carolingian period in the 12th century, it still showcases much of its vibrant polychromy from that era.
A visit to the chapter house is also worthwhile; here, you will find a 13th-century fresco illustrating the crucifixion.
Inside the church, several sacred art pieces enrich the cultural legacy of this significant stop on the Way of St. James pilgrimage.
