Casa Botines Tickets
Description
Explore one of the remarkable masterpieces by Gaudí with a journey to Casa Botines, where you will encounter an exquisite example of modernist architecture. This location is essential for those who appreciate architectural beauty!
Why Explore Casa Botines?
Sitting proudly in the Plaza de San Marcelo, at the center of León's historical district, the remarkable Casa Botines serves as a prominent modernist structure that currently hosts a museum honoring the brilliance of Antonio Gaudí. Though renowned for his extraordinary works like Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and Park Güell, Gaudí's creations are seldom found beyond Catalonia, making this grand building in León a significant exception.
With your entry ticket, you will venture through the ground floor, where you will discover intriguing aspects of the building's history. Engage with both physical and virtual presentations that showcase the businesses that once thrived on the first floor. In 1893, it was the venue for a fabric store operated by Simón Fernández and Mariano Andrés, and from 1931, it converted into a bank office.
It is advisable to ascend to the second floor, where you can immerse yourself in a recreation of a 19th-century residence envisioned by Gaudí. In addition, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the interactive exhibition Gaudí, the Architect of Dreams, where you can “soar above” other architectural marvels crafted by the renowned Catalan architect.
