Your experience begins with a pickup from your accommodation as we set out to explore the traditional markets of Lima. Are you prepared to immerse yourself in the flavors of Peruvian cuisine and enjoy its rich culinary offerings?

Our initial destination will be a quaint traditional market located in Surquillo, where you'll have the chance to observe the common ingredients typical of the region. These local products are often regarded as genuine treasures from the Andean and Amazonian regions.

Upon entering the market stalls, the array of local fruit types will captivate your senses, each providing a unique flavor native to Peru. Furthermore, you'll have the chance to engage with the daily lives of Lima's residents by conversing with the local vendors and hearing their stories.

Our exploration continues as we head to the picturesque fishing village of Chorrillos, famous for its diverse selection of fresh seafood and fish. Once we arrive, we'll unveil the methods behind Peru's beloved dish, selecting top-quality fish to prepare this cultural staple—yes, we're talking about the iconic ceviche!

Next, we will utilize the Metropolitano bus to reach the center of Lima, where we will visit both the Central Market and Chinatown. During our time here, we will reveal the secrets behind Peru's most popular dishes and explore the fascinating fusion of Peruvian and Asian culinary traditions.

Additionally, we will sample some typical Peruvian-Chinese snacks or street food such as picarones and anticuchos. Following these delightful tastings, we’ll conclude our day at Alameda Chabuca near Plaza Mayor, enjoying rice pudding and mazamorra morada to wrap up the experience.

After three hours of exploring and savoring the essence of traditional markets, we will return you to your accommodation in Lima, satisfied and enriched.

Pickup Information

The tour includes pickup services from hotels located in Barranco, Miraflores, San Isidro, and the downtown area. If you are located outside these districts, there will be an additional fee of 15USD per person applied for the pickup service on the day of the tour.
