Description

Day 1

At the designated time, we'll meet you at your chosen pickup location in Lima and commence our trip towards the village of San Pedro de Casta. Upon arrival, you’ll have an opportunity to wander through its picturesque streets before enjoying lunch. The meal will consist of a soup, a main dish, and a beverage.

Following lunch, we’ll embark on a 3-hour hike across the Marcahuasi plateau, renowned for its high-altitude beauty at 13,100 feet (4,000 meters). Our trek will be steady, allowing us to reach the highest point and witness a stunning sunset.

After the sun dips below the horizon, we'll gather around a campfire beneath the starry sky. You'll spend the night at the campsite.

Day 2

Welcome to a new day! We’ll rise at dawn to savor the crisp mountain air before setting forth on our adventures. In the morning, we’ll discover the geological wonders scattered across Marcahuasi plateau, including the Sphinx, the Alien, the Alchemist, and many other peculiar rock formations.

As we continue, we’ll pass the lagoons of Cachu Cachu and Huacracocha and appreciate their breathtaking scenery. We’ll also encounter the Lion King rock and the Monument to Humanity, a captivating sculpture resembling a human head.

After a full day of exploration, we’ll return to San Pedro de Casta for lunch before starting our journey back to Lima. We anticipate arriving at the original departure point around 7 PM.

Accommodation

This excursion includes 1 night's stay in tents. Tents, sleeping bags, and mats can be rented in Lima prior to departure.
