Day 1
At the appointed hour, your guide will meet you at your designated pickup location in Lima, and together you will head towards the village of San Pedro de Casta. There, you will have an opportunity to wander through its quaint streets before enjoying a local lunch. The meal will feature a hearty soup, a main dish, and a beverage.
Post-lunch, prepare for a 3-hour trek across the remarkable Marcahuasi plateau, which proudly rises at an altitude of 13,100 feet (4,000 meters). The hike will be at a manageable pace, allowing us to reach the summit in time to witness a magnificent sunset.
As daylight fades, we’ll gather around a campfire beneath a canopy of stars. The night will be spent at the campsite.
Day 2
Awake to a refreshing morning in the mountains! After a rejuvenating breakfast, we'll embark on a journey to observe the stunning geological formations scattered across the Marcahuasi plateau. Among these marvels, you will encounter the Sphinx, the Alien, the Alchemist, and many other intriguing rock formations.
Continuing our trek, we will visit the stunning lagoons of Cachu Cachu and Huacracocha and relish the beauty of their surroundings. Additionally, we will marvel at the Lion King rock and the extraordinary Monument to Humanity, featuring an impressive figure resembling a human head.
Following our explorations, we will return to San Pedro de Casta for lunch before commencing our journey back to Lima. The estimated time of arrival at your initial pickup location is around 7 pm.
Accommodation
This experience includes 1 night of camping accommodation. Tents, sleeping bags, and mats can be rented in Lima prior to departure.

The tour includes pickup services from hotels located in the areas of San Miguel, San Isidro, Miraflores, and Barranco.

Please be ready 10 minutes early.
We recommend bringing light clothes for daytime and warm clothes for nighttime, a hat or cap, a backpack, sunglasses, suncream, insect repellent, a thermal blanket and a head torch. Tents and sleeping bags can be brought from home or rented before our departure in Lima.
