Details of the Day Trip

Your adventure commences with a pickup from your chosen location in Lima, setting off towards the Widow's Mountain Range. As we travel, breathtaking views will unfold, building anticipation for the journey ahead. Let’s get started!

During our approximately 2.5-hour ride from Lima, we will take a short break in Santa Rosa de Quives, a charming village where you can enjoy a light breakfast. Here, we will also visit the site of Rose of Lima, Peru's patron saint, exploring her childhood home, chapel, and the renowned wishing well. Remember to bring a letter filled with your wishes to toss into the well!

Continuing our journey, we’ll pause briefly at the Cochapampa viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic vistas of Canta and several Andean communities. Soon after, we will arrive at the enchanting Pomora Waterfall, popularly referred to as Mellizadera.

As we ascend to an impressive height of 4800 meters (15750 feet) above sea level, we'll reach the breathtaking Lagoon of 7 Colours, a sacred and picturesque site within the Widow's Mountain Range. Here, we will participate in a ritual honoring the Earth, expressing gratitude for the abundance it provides us. Following this, you’ll have two hours to wander the stunning surroundings or opt for a boat ride across the lagoon’s pristine waters.

After soaking in the beauty of this landscape, we will head towards Huaros for lunch. This is an excellent opportunity to savor regional specialties such as trout or pachamanca so you can experience the local flavors fully!

Refreshed and energized, we will begin our return journey to Lima. Along the way, we'll stop at Canta, a quaint village where you can unwind, stretch your legs, and perhaps purchase some local delicacies like homemade cheese or sweets—perfect for taking a piece of the experience home with you!

Finally, after a full 16 hours of exploration, we will conclude our trip at the original pickup point.
