Paracas & Huacachina 2-Day Trip
Description
Embark on a remarkable 2-day trip to Paracas and Huacachina, featuring a breathtaking boat excursion around the Ballestas Islands, an authentic pisco tasting, and thrilling slides down the unique dunes of South America's only natural oasis—a truly memorable journey.
Trip Overview
Day 1: Lima - Paracas - Huacachina
Your adventure begins with a timely pickup from your Lima hotel as we set off towards the Ica Region aboard a comfortable sleeper bus equipped with reclining seats.
Upon arriving in Paracas after a scenic 4-hour ride, we will make our way to the port for an exciting speedboat tour of the Ballestas Islands. Over the span of 2 hours, we will search for sea lions, penguins, and various bird species in their natural surroundings. With a bit of luck, we may catch a glimpse of playful dolphins swimming alongside us—an unforgettable sight!
Once we return to land, you'll have some leisure time to explore Paracas and enjoy lunch. After regenerating your energy, we will proceed to the stunning Huacachina Oasis, nestled amidst vast golden dunes. Along the way, we'll share intriguing stories about the region, including the enchanting legend of the mermaid that is tied to this place.
Upon reaching Huacachina, we will stop by a local pisco vineyard. You'll then be granted 2 hours of free time to wander around the oasis, navigate the dunes, or unwind at a swimming pool. As the sun begins to set, brace yourself for two exhilarating activities: a buggy tour and an adventurous sandboarding experience. We will ascend the tallest dunes in South America, and from the summit, you can glide down the sandy slopes on your board.
As the day concludes, we will part ways, leaving you with the evening to enjoy dinner and rest at your chosen accommodation.
Day 2: Huacachina - Lima
After enjoying breakfast, the day offers 5 hours of free time to delve deeper into Huacachina—perfect for lunch as well. You can stroll along the oasis, relax beneath the palm trees, or unwind by the swimming pool. The choice is yours to craft a fitting finale to this memorable journey!
As night approaches, we will prepare to depart this delightful corner of Southern Peru and head back to Lima. You can expect to arrive at your hotel in the capital around 11:45 PM.
