Paracas & Huacachina 2-Day Trip

Embarking on this 2-day adventure to Paracas and Huacachina, you'll experience a thrilling boat trip around the Ballestas Islands, partake in a pisco tasting, and glide down the dunes at the only natural oasis in South America—a journey to remember!

Details of the Trip

Day 1: Lima - Paracas - Huacachina

At the designated time, we will collect you from your hotel in Lima and set off southward to the Department of Ica aboard a sleeper bus, featuring reclining seats for your comfort.

Upon arrival in Paracas, approximately 4 hours later, we will head to the port to board a speedboat for a 2-hour excursion around the Ballestas Islands. Here, keep an eye out for sea lions, penguins, and various bird species in their natural surroundings. With a touch of luck, we might catch sight of dolphins swimming alongside our vessel—an incredible spectacle!

Once back on land, you will have free time to explore Paracas and enjoy lunch. After recharging, we will proceed to the Huacachina Oasis, which is encircled by vast golden dunes. During our journey, we'll share intriguing tales about the region, including the legend of the mermaid who is said to have formed this enchanting place.

Arriving in Huacachina, we will visit a local pisco vineyard before granting you 2 hours to wander the oasis, venture into the dunes, or relax by a pool. As sunset approaches, get ready for two exhilarating activities: a buggy ride and a sandboarding experience. We will race up the tallest dunes in South America at full speed and, from the summit, slide down the sandy slopes on boards.

Finally, we will conclude our day, and you will have the evening free to enjoy dinner and unwind at your accommodation.

Day 2: Huacachina - Lima

After fueling up with breakfast, you will enjoy 5 hours of leisure time to explore Huacachina further and have lunch. You may stroll along the oasis, relax beneath the palm trees, or take a dip in the pool. The choice is yours for a perfect conclusion to this experience!

As dusk approaches, we will take our leave from this magical corner of Southern Peru and begin our return trip to Lima. We will drop you off at your hotel in the capital around 11:45 pm.

Accommodation Options

Depending on availability, you can choose to participate in the tour with or without accommodation:

Tour with Accommodation

This option encompasses 1 night's stay at Hotel Curasi (3 stars) or Hotel Wild Rover (2 stars), based on availability. When booking your tour with accommodation, you can select from the following choices:

• Single, double or triple room accommodation, all equipped with private bathrooms.
• Shared bedroom accommodation, where you will share a room and bathroom with up to 5 other guests. Note that these rooms are mixed gender.

In all instances, the stated prices are per person, not per room.

Please bear in mind that room bookings must correspond to the actual number of travelers; you cannot reserve a double or triple room for personal use only. Additionally, booking a triple room for 2 occupants is not allowed.

Tour without Accommodation

If you’d rather arrange your own hotel, you can select the option without accommodation. In this case, you will need to secure lodging near the Wild Rover Hostel in Huacachina, from where we will pick you up on the morning of day 2.

Pickup Information

This activity includes pickup from hotels in San Isidro, Miraflores, and Barranco. Additionally, we will also pick up from specific hotels in central Lima: Diamond Hotel, Plaza Hotel, Gran Hotel Bolívar, Gran Hotel, Hotel Inka Path, Kamana, Hotel Plaza Mayor, Hotel Continental, Lima House, San Agustín Riviera, Sheraton, and Hotel París.

If you are staying outside these locations, we'll arrange a pickup at the McDonald's at Kennedy Park in Miraflores.
