Cahuita National Park Tour for Cruise Passengers

On this tour through the Cahuita National Park, we'll hike through the rainforest, visit the village and a banana plantation—an ideal route for cruise ship arrivals in Limón.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from the Hernan Garron Salazar Cruise Terminal. After preparation, we'll head southeast in a vehicle for an hour-long drive along picturesque roads through local villages.

Upon arrival at Cahuita National Park, we'll start an approximately 45-minute hike. This park is known for protecting a well-preserved coastline in the Costa Rican Caribbean, featuring white sandy beaches alongside jungle with diverse wildlife.

During our hike, we'll explore the fauna of the park, including sightings of sloths, white-faced monkeys, and a variety of tropical birds and iguanas.

After the hike, we'll visit the village of Cahuita, where you can enjoy a drink and local cuisine in various cafés and restaurants, immersing yourself in the daily life of this Afro-Caribbean community.

Next, we'll visit a banana plantation, learning about the processes of planting, harvesting, and exporting bananas and cocoa. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs from the experience.
