Lisbon Walking Tour
Description
For those visiting Lisbon for the first time, a guided tour in English serves as the perfect introduction to the city. This experience offers a more extensive exploration compared to the usual free tours.
Lisbon Walking Tour
We will convene at a central location at the arranged time and embark on a journey through some of the most emblematic neighborhoods, such as Bairro Alto, Chiado, Alfama, and the historic Baixa. Throughout our walk, we will uncover the narratives behind Lisbon's rich architecture, vibrant culture, and historical significance, tracing its evolution from the Moorish influence to the pivotal Carnation Revolution of 1974, which marked the end of nearly fifty years of dictatorship.
The tour will highlight key sites including the remnants of the Carmo Convent, the viewing platform of the Santa Justa Lift, the winding streets of Alfama, the impressive Lisbon Cathedral, and panoramic vistas from one of the city's renowned viewpoints, where you can gaze across the cityscape of Lisbon. On our journey, we might also utilize one of the city’s classic trams to transition between neighborhoods.
To enhance this memorable experience, we will savor a delightful pastel de nata (custard tart) and a drink together before concluding our tour approximately 3 to 4 hours after we begin, close to the city center.
