This ticket grants you access to the west wing of the Ajuda National Palace, showcasing a significant portion of the Royal House of Portugal's heritage. Within this wing, a stunning display of the Crown's precious artifacts and items sourced from the personal collections of the monarchy await your discovery. Prepare to be captivated!

The Royal Treasure Museum features 11 distinct sections. Your exploration commences in the Gold and Diamonds of Brazil exhibit, where you’ll encounter unrefined metals, exquisite gemstones, coins, and royal medals.

As you progress to the third section, you'll discover the jewels of the Royal Treasure. The fourth section highlights the insignias of the prestigious Orders of Knighthood and Orders of Merit, making this collection a unique national treasure!

Continuing your visit, the Royal Insignia exhibit presents a splendid collection of scepters, royal mantles, and crowns, alongside the prestigious decorations from the Military Orders of Christ, Avis, and Santiago!

The journey concludes with the Treasure's Travels exhibit, offering insight into the various locations the treasures have graced and the methods of their transport. Embark on this intriguing historical journey!

Opening Hours

The Royal Treasure Museum operates during the following hours:

• May 1 - September 30: daily from 10 am to 7 pm
• October 1 - April 30: daily from 10 am to 6 pm
• Holidays (December 24 and 31): 10 am to 5 pm
• Closed on December 25 and January 1
