Porto, Nazaré & Óbidos Tour

On this journey through Porto, Nazaré, and Óbidos, you will encounter the remnants of historical architecture that speak of a once-glorious past.

Description

We will gather at Marquês de Pombal Square, specifically at number 8, to board a bus that takes us away from Lisbon and into three of Portugal’s most iconic cities.

Our first stop is the enchanting medieval town of Óbidos, which is encircled by ancient walls. A leisurely walk along Rua Dereita awaits, culminating at the majestic façade of Óbidos Castle, renowned as one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal.

After exploring Óbidos, we will proceed to Nazaré, a renowned spot favored by surfers globally. Here, a guided exploration of this picturesque fishing village begins, showcasing landmarks like the Forte de São Miguel. From this vantage point, guests can witness the colossal waves crashing against Nazaré's shoreline.

Continuing our journey, we'll wander through O Sitio, a celebrated district of Nazaré rich in religious heritage. This area draws pilgrims from various regions, and we will ascend to its highest vantage point, where historical forts and 17th-century basilicas are found.

Our next destination is Porto, a city that offers breathtaking vistas of the Douro River and its six iconic bridges. During our guided tour, we will stroll through the historic district, visiting landmarks such as the gardens of Palácio de Cristal, the Church of Carmen, the stunning Sao Bento train station, the Church of San Francisco, and the impressive Don Luis I Bridge.

After our exploration of Porto, you’ll have one hour of leisure time to enjoy lunch at your own pace.

At the end of this comprehensive twelve-hour excursion, we will return to the original meeting point in central Lisbon, concluding the day's adventures.
