The operating hours for St. George's Castle are as follows:
- November to February: daily from 9 am to 7 pm, with the last entry 30 minutes prior to closing.
- March to October: daily from 9 am to 9 pm, with the last entry 30 minutes before closing.
Discounted Entry
Specific groups are eligible for reduced admission:
- Visitors under 26 years old
- Individuals aged 65 and over
To obtain these discounted tickets, visit the ticket office at the monument and present valid identification. Please be aware that the audio guide is not included with the reduced ticket price.

You'll have to redeem your tickets at the entrance to St. George's Castle (R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo, 1100-129 Lisbon, Portugal).

- Please note that there may be long queues at the entrance to the monument.
- There is no meeting point. The self-guided tour is designed to start at the Arco do Castelo (Rua do Chão da Feira 25, 1100-129 Lisbon, Portugal).
- If you book the ticket with an audio guide, an Android smartphone (version 9.0 and later) or iOS smartphone (version 17.0 and later) is required. The audio guide is not compatible with Windows phones, iPhone X or earlier, iPhone SE (1st generation), iPod Touch, iPad (5th generation or earlier), iPad Air (2nd generation or earlier), iPad Mini (4th generation or earlier), or the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (1st generation).
- It's important to bring a charged cell phone, headphones, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a hat.
