The Big Bus tour features three distinct routes. Climb aboard an open-top double-decker bus to appreciate the spectacular landmarks of one of the world’s most frequented cities, enhanced by an engaging audio guide. Both the 24- and 48-hour ticket options include a boat ride on the River Thames, should you wish to partake.

Among the iconic stops you can discover along these routes are London Bridge, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, and Westminster.

Bus Lines

Starting October 1, 2026, the buses will operate under a seasonal timetable:

• Red Line: This is the most extensive route, taking around 2.5 hours and covering key attractions. It commences at Stop 1 (Green Park Underground). The first bus departs at 8:42 am, with the last full tour at 2:12 pm and the final bus at 5:12 pm. Buses are scheduled every 15 to 20 minutes.
• Blue Line: Running from the museum area south of Hyde Park to the Tower of London in the east, this route highlights famous landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, Harrods, Kensington Palace, Notting Hill, and Madame Tussauds. Starting at Stop 27 (Victoria, Nova Complex), it takes approximately 3 hours and 35 minutes. The first full tour departs at 10:54 am, the last full tour at 4:39 pm, and the last bus at 5:51 pm. Buses operate every 20 minutes.
• Green Line: This route links north London to the city center, making it perfect for visitors staying outside central London. It begins at Stop 48 (Woburn Northbound) and lasts about 1 hour and 10 minutes. The initial tour leaves at 8:30 am and the last at 5:15 pm, with buses running every 45 minutes.

Ticket Options

During your booking, you can select from the following ticket variations:

• Same-Day Ticket: This option allows you to experience the London sightseeing bus tour exclusively on the selected day. Note that the Thames cruise is not included with this ticket.
• 24-Hour Ticket: This ticket is valid for 24 hours and comprises the Thames cruise.
• 48-Hour Ticket: Valid for 48 hours, this option includes the Thames cruise as well as various guided tours of London.
• 48-Hour Ticket + Evening Tour: This option encompasses a 48-hour ticket, the Thames cruise, guided tours, and a 2-hour evening tour on an open-top bus.

Boat Ride

Remember that the Thames cruise is only part of the 24-hour and 48-hour tickets (not available with the same-day option). This cruise runs one-way between Westminster and the Tower of London, with service occurring daily between 9 am and 5 pm. Schedules may vary with the season.

The boats depart from these locations:

• Tower Bridge Pier (near stop 16 on the sightseeing bus)
• Westminster Pier (close to stop 18 on the sightseeing bus)

London Walking Tours

Walking tours are not part of the ticket price for the reserved day and are also excluded from the 24-hour ticket.

The 48-hour ticket includes a guided walking tour of London:

• Royal Sites Tour: This tour begins at 10 am from stop 8 and lasts 1.5 hours, featuring the royal traditions of London, including the Changing of the Guard on scheduled days.
• Jack the Ripper Tour: Kicking off at 1 pm from stop 19, this 2-hour tour leads you through the lesser-known sites associated with the infamous Whitechapel Murderer and his victims.
• Harry Potter Tour: Set to commence at 4 pm from stop 21, this 2-hour exploration focuses on the filming locations and inspiration derived from the Harry Potter films.

How Does It Work?

The ticket for the London Bus Tour remains valid for 24 or 48 hours from the first use, based on your selected option. During this validity period, you are free to hop on and off the buses as often as you wish.
