We will gather at 9 am at the Union Monument to commence our private exploration of Lublin.
Our journey begins with a discussion about the Union of Lublin and its pivotal role in shaping the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, marking a significant milestone towards modern European democracy.
Next, we will make our way to the Krakow Gate, a historic entry point dating back to the 15th century, as well as the vibrant market square, which is flanked by ancient structures and features the central Town Hall.
We will also visit the Dominican Church, an exquisite representation of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, followed by a stop at the remarkable Cathedral of Saints John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, notable for its striking columns adorning the façade.
As we continue, we will reach the Lublin Castle, a historic fortress recognized as one of the earliest royal residences in Poland. Here, we will delve into its fascinating history and hear about the legends connected to its former prison.
This enchanting tour will conclude at this final site by 12 pm.
