At your convenience, board bus line 1, which will take you to Kriens, a charming alpine village that enchants visitors with its beauty from the very start.

After a short 10-minute ride, you will reach Kriens, specifically at the Zentrum Pilatus stop. A brief walk through this enchanting village will lead you to the Pilatus-Bahnen AG station. There, hop on a cable car that will whisk you to Fräkmüntegg station in just 15 minutes.

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by stunning views of Mount Pilatus. Feel free to recharge at the panoramic restaurant. Next, board the Dragon Ride cable car, which will elevate you to the Pilatus Kulm station in five minutes, reaching an impressive altitude of 2,132 meters (6,995 feet). Welcome to the summit of Mount Pilatus!

From this vantage point, delight in the breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Swiss Alps. You may also enjoy refreshments at the restaurants located in the Bellevue and Pilatus Kulm hotels.

When you're ready, embark on the cog railway to Alpnachstad. This historic railway, operational since 1889, holds the title of the steepest in the world. Depending on your ticket class, you can choose to sit on the upper deck for first class or the lower deck for second class.
