Around the agreed time, you will be collected from your accommodation and we will head toward Luoyang's most renowned attraction: the Longmen Grottoes.

The grottoes represent some of the most significant Buddhist caves across China and are home to over 10,000 Buddha figures in diverse sizes and forms. The experience is truly awe-inspiring!

We will traverse this site recognized as a World Heritage Site. You will appreciate delving into the intriguing histories behind each cave as we explore the profound influence of Buddhism through the various Chinese dynasties, particularly during the era of Empress Wu Zetian, the sole female figure to hold the throne in China.

This exclusive day trip allows you to choose one of two remarkable temples in the area: the White Horse Temple or the Shaolin Temple, based on your preference.

White Horse Temple

If you opt for this route, following our visit to the Longmen Grottoes, you will have an hour of free time for lunch before we proceed to the White Horse Temple, known as the oldest temple globally. Are you prepared to explore this historic landmark?

Regarded as the first official Buddhist temple within China, it is celebrated as the country's "Ancestral Temple" and the "Origin of Buddhism," signifying the roots of this spiritual journey.

You will uncover the various pavilions within the temple, showcasing four distinct architectural styles: Chinese, Indian, Burmese, and Thai. It is indeed a one-of-a-kind destination!

After around 8 hours, we will return you to your hotel and conclude your day trip.

Shaolin Temple

Alternatively, if you select the Shaolin route, our first stop will be the Shaolin Temple, a celebrated Buddhist site in the east. Want to find out why it's so famous?

For centuries, martial arts have established the foundation for Shaolin Kung Fu across the globe. Here, you will gain insights into the essential elements of Buddhism while enjoying a brief kung-fu demonstration by the monks.

Later in the afternoon, you will have about an hour to rest and savor a traditional Chinese meal.

Post-lunch, we will come together to continue the excursion by visiting the Longmen Grottoes.

Finally, we will bid farewell at the initial meeting point after an enriching 8-hour adventure.
