Tumbes Mangroves + Punta Sal and Zorritos Beaches Day Trip

Embark on a captivating day trip through the Tumbes mangroves, where we will explore the Islands of Love, Whale Bone, and the Island of the Birds. Additionally, we shall visit Punta Sal and Zorritos. This promises to be a comprehensive and intriguing experience!

Trip Overview

Once we pick you up from your accommodation, we will start with a brief introduction before proceeding to our initial stop. After ensuring all is in order, we will set sail. Let’s commence the adventure!

In approximately half an hour, we will arrive at Punta Sal Beach, a wide expanse of golden sands and azure waters. Here, you will enjoy an hour of leisure time to unwind and relish the beauty of the surroundings. A remarkable chance to take a dip and capture stunning scenic views.

We will then proceed along the coastline for about an hour, arriving at Zorritos Beach. This serene location features a shoreline adorned with palm trees providing shade over the warm sands. For 45 minutes, you can wander along the beach, cool off in the ocean, or sip a refreshing drink while enjoying the vistas of the South Pacific.

Our next destination is Puerto Pizarro, located about an hour's drive from Zorritos. Upon arrival, you will have an hour of free time to indulge in lunch at one of the local eateries.

Once you are refreshed, we will head to the Puerto Pizarro pier, where a traditional boat known as a chalana awaits our group. We will embark on a three-hour cruise through the Tumbes mangroves.

During this journey through the natural sanctuary, we will glide between the winding roots that emerge from the waters, visiting the Islands of Love, Whale Bone, and the Birds. En route, we will observe exotic avian species inhabiting this unique ecosystem in northern Peru.

After the boat excursion, we will conclude the day with a 30-minute visit to a crocodile farm, allowing us to observe these intriguing reptiles up close. Their remarkable stillness will surely impress you!

Finally, we will embark on our 2.5-hour return journey to Máncora, culminating the day on the town's main street after a thorough and enriching 12-hour exploration.
