On this excursion, we will head southward to explore the Marapé Dunes, a natural haven teeming with diverse flora and fauna where the river converges with the ocean.

Trip Overview

At the arranged time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Maceió to embark on a journey that leads us into an extraordinary ecosystem in Alagoas: the Marapé Dunes. Prepare to be astounded!

Following a brief vehicle ride, we will cover a distance of 65 kilometers (approximately 40 miles), driving along the beautiful Alagoas coastline and passing through the renowned Jequiá da Praia municipality.

As we approach the dunes, we will board a boat for a scenic ride down the Jequiá River, which is the only access route to these remarkable dunes. Within 10 minutes, we will arrive at our destination.

Upon arrival at the Marapé Dunes, you will be captivated by the natural splendor nestled between Duas Barras Beach and the Jequiá River. The surrounding mangroves harbor a stunning array of native species that are sure to leave a lasting impression.

During your time at the dunes, you can relish a buffet lunch, indulge in the warm waters, and participate in various activities available here. Options include an off-road vehicle ride to Falésias de Jacarecica do Sul, a boating excursion along the Jequiá River, or even a mud bath.

Eventually, this day of adventure will conclude with your return to the hotel after a fulfilling 10-hour experience.
