Guided Tour of Machala
Your journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Machala at 9:30 am, followed by a visit to the historic heart of this enchanting city in Ecuador. Serving as the capital of the province of El Oro, Machala boasts streets rich in historical significance, cultural heritage, and architectural splendor. Are you prepared to uncover its captivating essence?
We will commence our exploration at Central Park, a spacious green area adorned with several fountains. Close to the park, we will admire the impressive Municipality building and the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Merced, both of which are key landmarks for understanding the history of Machala.
Our next destination will be the Plaza de la Inmaculada, where we will encounter the iconic Clock Tower. Interestingly, this structure was commissioned from a European company in the early 20th century. From this point, we will meander down Calle Lourdes, a broad avenue lined with charming historic architectures.
To conclude our insightful tour of Machala, we will embark on a panoramic journey through the residential districts and make our way to the adjacent Wind Park.
