The Allure of Faunia
Step into Faunia and embark on a journey through its expansive 16-hectare area, which showcases four extraordinary ecosystems and is home to over 1,200 animal species. You will explore 15 themed zones that accurately reflect the unique habitats, climates, light levels, and humidity levels necessary for each species. It's a truly incredible experience!
From the humid warmth of the Jungle to the icy realms of the Polar Ecosystem, and onto the intriguing African Forest and Temperate Forest, each area reveals a world of wonder. You'll spot remarkable creatures such as manatees, macaws, penguins, and lemurs throughout your adventure. Every part of Faunia will captivate your senses!
In the Jungle, vibrant tropical flora and fauna await you. Here, you will encounter manatees, macaws, toucans, and various marmoset species that share this lush environment.
Travel to the Polar Ecosystem and witness a colony of over 100 penguins from six different species in this remote Antarctic habitat. Should your curiosity lead you towards exploration, the African Forest invites you to the landscapes of Madagascar, where colorful birds and lemurs greet you from the treetops, promising an exotic ambiance!
Don’t miss the enchanting Temperate Forest, filled with various species found in temperate regions around the globe. Here, you can expect to encounter the muntjac deer, the brocket deer, and the striking demoiselle crane. Have you ever experienced perfect weather? In this area, you can feel what it’s like.
At the Pinnipedium exhibit, you'll engage with Guardians of the Ocean and Mission Pinnipeds, an innovative exhibit designed to transform your visit into an interactive and educational family experience. You will learn to identify different marine mammal species, uncover their remarkable adaptations, and recognize the vital roles they play in ocean ecosystems.
Beyond the primary ecosystems, the mysterious Noctorum awaits exploration under the glow of the full moon, revealing fascinating creatures such as the ocelot, the two-toed sloth, and the aardvark. Additionally, a mangrove harboring impressive Nile crocodiles invites further discovery, along with snakes, spiders, and jellyfish.
