Are you curious about mycology? This experience invites you to explore a farm located on the outskirts of Mahón, where the exquisite Menorcan mushrooms are cultivated, and partake in a boletus mushroom tasting.
Mushroom Farm Exploration
Our gathering point will be Bolets de Menorca, easily accessible and just a 10-minute journey from Mahón, the island's capital. This farm tour has earned accolades as one of the top agricultural experiences in Spain, recognized by Segittur, an initiative from Spain's Ministry of Tourism and Industry.
The experience will commence with an introduction to mycology, featuring various videos and images that unveil the captivating world of fungi. What is their natural production like? How can they be easily identified? We will explore these questions and more throughout the tour!
Next, we'll proceed with a guided walkthrough of the farm's facilities, during which we will observe the laboratory, the workspace, and the indoor forest where the fungi develop. You'll uncover intriguing details about how mushrooms are harvested during our exploration.
The total duration of this activity is 2 hours, culminating in a delightful tasting of a dish featuring Menorcan boletus mushrooms. You will have the choice of enjoying this dish with either mineral water or a soft drink. What a delightful conclusion to this experience!
For those who wish, there are additional recipes incorporating Menorcan boletus available, paired with wine or beer.

This activity is recommended for adults. Additionally, children under 3 cannot take part in the tastings. However, children who come to the farm will be offered mushroom coloring books.
