Chateau de Maisons Tickets
Description
Situated merely 30 minutes from the heart of Paris, you can explore this remarkable example of French baroque architecture. Imagine yourself as Louis XIV, casually exploring the halls of the Chateau de Maisons.
Chateau de Maisons Admission
This ticket grants you access to the splendid Maisons-Laffitte castle, celebrated for showcasing some of the finest French baroque architecture in the surrounding Paris region. Crafted by the renowned architect François Mansart in the 14th century, the castle exemplifies the striking "mansards" style—characterized by distinctive black roofs adorned with windows, which you will also observe throughout the estate.
As you step inside, you'll be free to explore the opulent rooms that define the castle's interior. Among these, one room is specifically dedicated to visits from Louis XIV. Here, you can immerse yourself in the experience of his courtiers, accompanied by an informational leaflet in English that reveals intriguing details about the clandestine history of the Royal Court.
Additionally, it's essential to stroll through the gardens surrounding the Chateau de Maisons, which are an exemplary illustration of a traditional French garden and an ideal place for relaxation.
