Bike Rental in Maputo

From 7 am to 7 pm, you have the opportunity to rent a bicycle for a duration of four hours. The bike can be picked up at number 417 on Avenida Kwame Nkrumah. Here, you’ll receive not only the bike but also a helmet, a lock, and a city map, giving you the tools you need to delve into the capital city of Mozambique on your own terms!

We suggest heading south through the city, where you'll encounter significant landmarks including the European-influenced central train station, which dates back to the early 20th century. Notably, this building is regarded as one of the most stunning in the capital.

Just a few blocks to the north, don’t miss the chance to pass by another notable site: Independence Square, referred to locally as Praça da Independência. On the northern edge of the square, you’ll spot the Maputo City Hall, while to the east rises the grand Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. This area is rich with attractions, including Iron House, built for the governor of Mozambique, and the lovely Tunduru Gardens, created in 1885 by British horticulturist Thomas Honney.

A worthwhile route also leads you to Rua dos Lusiadas, where both the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Geology await your visit. The adventures are limitless!

After your four-hour exploration of the city, you will need to return to your original pick-up point to conclude the bike rental.
