3-Day Trip Details
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
We leave Marrakech for Ouarzazate, a journey of approximately 4 hours across the Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. We'll stop at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, recognized from films like Gladiator, before proceeding to Ouarzazate to see the Kasbah of Taourirt. We will continue along the Thousand Kasbahs Road towards Skoura to reach the Roses Valley approximately 30 minutes before sunset, ending the day in the Dades Valley for our first night’s accommodation.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast, we'll explore the Dades Gorges and the Todra Gorges. Then, we'll head towards Merzouga, crossing the Jorf Palm Grove and stopping for lunch at Erfoud, known for its fossil fragments. In Merzouga, we'll switch to camels for a ride into the desert, where we can choose to partake in a quad bike tour at an additional cost. Dinner will be served under the stars at our camp in Erg Chebbi.
Day 3: Rissani - Ziz Valley - Middle Atlas - Fez
We'll witness the sunrise in the desert before breakfast at the camp. The journey to Fez will take us through Tafilalet and Rissani. We'll stop at the monkey forest in Azrou before arriving in Fez around 6 pm. Taxi transport will be provided with a driver speaking English, Spanish, or French.
