2-Day Zagora Desert Exploration

This journey offers a genuine Moroccan experience over two days as you explore the Zagora Sahara Desert and its traditional Amazigh communities. The itinerary mirrors our 2-Day Zagora Desert Trip.

You will traverse a segment of the Atlas mountain range, passing through the Drâa Valley and its lush palm grove before reaching the enchanting Zagora Desert, where you will ride a camel and spend the night in a traditional Amazigh haima.

On the following day, an early morning will greet you with an unforgettable desert sunrise as you begin your journey back to Marrakech, retracing your route via the Drâa Valley and Agdez. A stop will be made at Ouarzazate to explore the stunning Kasbah Taourirt.

3-Day Merzouga Desert Adventure

Embark on an exciting 3-day expedition to Merzouga where you will experience the varied landscapes of Morocco. The itinerary is akin to our 3-Day Sahara Desert Trip.

The first day involves a visit to the Kasbah de Ait-Ben-Haddou, an extraordinary fortified village. Subsequently, upon reaching Ouarzazate, you will have the opportunity to discover the Kasbah of Taourirt. The journey continues through the Valley of the Roses before an overnight stay in the breathtaking Dadès Gorges.

On the second day, you will explore the Dadès Valley and the spectacular Todra Gorge before crossing the Jorf Palm Grove and Erfoud, ultimately arriving at the Merzouga Desert for evening accommodations.

The tour concludes with a daybreak that showcases a magnificent desert sunrise. Later, we will depart the desert through scenic routes, including the Rissani palm grove and the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing by Tinghir, Boumalne Dades, and the village of Imassine, where you will stop for lunch before heading back to Marrakech.

During booking, you also have the option to conclude this tour in Fez instead.

4-Day Merzouga Desert Expedition

This 4-day journey unveils some of Morocco's most breathtaking deserts and landscapes. The path follows closely to our 4-Day Merzouga Desert Trip.

The first day features a trip to the Atlas Mountains and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, noted as Morocco's most remarkable fortified village and a filming location for movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven. You'll then continue your journey to Skoura, Kelaat M'gouna, and the Dadès Gorges for an overnight stay.

On the second day, a visit to the Dadès Valley, the Todra Gorge, and the Jorf Palm Grove awaits. The route will take you through the beautiful village of Erfoud before arriving at Merzouga for a camel trek through the desert.

The third day starts with a stunning sunrise in the desert. Afterward, you’ll return to Ouarzazate, passing through the Tafilalet Palm Grove and Rissani, continuing onto Alnif to navigate the Anti Atlas road towards Tazarine, N'kob, and ultimately the Drâa Valley. Concluding the day, we will return to the hotel in Ouarzazate.

On the final day, you’ll have a chance to visit the Atlas Film Studios and the iconic Kasbah Taourirt before the tour concludes in Marrakech.

Accommodation During the Tour

On the 2-day trip to Zagora, your night will be spent in a comfortable desert camp that provides adequate facilities, including shared toilets and showers. The nomadic tents can accommodate up to 5 individuals, ensuring you won't share with any other guests.

Your 3 and 4-day trips to Merzouga will feature accommodations in either standard or superior settings, which may include 3 or 4-star hotels or a desert camp with shared bathrooms:

• Standard Category: Babylon Hotel, Dar Ahlam, Auberge Tifawen or comparable (Dades), Haima camp (Merzouga), and Hotel Les Jardins, Azoul Hotel, or similar in Ouarzazate.
• Superior Category: Ksar Sulta, Riad Rihana, Hotel Xaluca Dades or similar (Dades), Azawad Luxury Desert Camp or equivalent (Merzouga), and Dar Chamaa, Riad Tama, Le Petit Riad, Riad Ouarzazate or similar (Ouarzazate).

In both hotel and desert camp accommodations, the specified price is for each person sharing a double room. If preferred, options for triple and family rooms are also available. Additionally, there is a supplemental charge of 30 EUR per tent for air-conditioning in luxury camps.
