Gran Canaria Food Tour

Immerse yourself in the rich culinary heritage of Gran Canaria on this gastronomic journey. This tour features a visit to the Arehucas rum distillery and the Banana Museum in Arucas, as well as a trip to a local farm in Agaete where you will have the chance to savor coffee and wine and engage in a Canarian mojo workshop.

Activity Details

At the scheduled time, we will meet you at the selected pickup location in the south of Gran Canaria as per your reservation. Are you excited to uncover the island's culinary secrets?

The adventure will commence with our drive towards Arucas, a picturesque town in northern Gran Canaria. Our first stop will be the Arehucas distillery, where we will explore the fascinating process of rum production from sugar cane. Visitors have the option to sample various rums at the conclusion of the factory tour.

Following the distillery, we will head to the Banana Museum, where the exhibition will shed light on the importance of this fruit in Canarian cuisine. You will learn to recognize the island's native variety, known for its unique small size and yellow exterior adorned with brown specks.

The museum shop offers a range of products for purchase, including wines, liqueurs, pâtés, and banana creams. Subsequently, we will proceed to a nearby restaurant to indulge in traditional Gran Canarian dishes at your discretion, as you savor each delightful bite.

After your meal, our culinary exploration will continue in the northern part of the island:

• On Tuesdays, we will visit the Los Olivos estate, where a guided tour awaits, along with a tasting of olives, olive oils, and other products.
• If your tour is on a Thursday, we will stop by the Los Berrazales winery for a guided experience, featuring a coffee tasting and a chance to participate in a mojo sauce workshop.

We will conclude our tour by returning to the meeting point in southern Gran Canaria after approximately 6 to 8 hours.

Pickup Info

This tour includes pickup from a variety of tourist areas:

• From 7:45 to 8:20 am: pickups will be made from Puerto de Mogán to Arguineguín, with an estimated return at 5:30 pm.
• From 8:35 to 8:45 am: pickups will take place in Sonnenland and Meloneras to Campo de Golf, returning by approximately 5 pm.
• From 8:50 to 9:20 am: pickups will occur from Playa del Inglés to Bahía Feliz, also returning around 5 pm.
