This adventure kicks off with your hotel pickup in Matanzas. After settling in our vehicle, we’ll commence a scenic two-hour drive toward the southern coast of Cuba. Let’s get started!

As we journey onward, you will witness areas filled with lush greenery, serene lagoons, and thriving bird habitats, especially as we enter the Zapata Swamp National Park. This remarkable area is recognized as the largest wetland in the insular Caribbean, offering a true haven for diverse wildlife.

Our first highlight will be the captivating Cueva de los Peces (Fish Cave), a cenote that plunges over 70 meters deep and brims with intriguing myths. Here, you’ll be outfitted with snorkeling gear and have the opportunity to immerse yourself in its stunning turquoise waters, teeming with vibrant fish, corals, and mesmerizing rock formations.

After approximately 40 minutes at the cave, we will proceed to Playa Larga, situated within the renowned Bahía de Cochinos (Bay of Pigs). This exquisite beach beckons you to unwind on its soft white sands, enjoy a swim in the Caribbean, and continue your underwater exploration with your snorkeling equipment.

We will dedicate around three hours to relax and indulge before we embark on the next part of our journey. Feeling hungry? Savor a delightful buffet lunch at a local restaurant, featuring delectable options such as beef, chicken, crab, rice, salads, and a beverage included.

Rejuvenated, we will then visit a crocodile breeding center and the Girón Museum. At the breeding center, learn about the conservation efforts for these remarkable reptiles. The museum provides insight into the pivotal events surrounding the Bay of Pigs Invasion, highlighting a major Cuban victory and marking the first defeat for U.S. imperialism in the region.

At the end of our enriching adventure, we will return to your hotel in Matanzas after a fulfilling 12-hour exploration.
