Description
Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Medellin, leading us southward to San Luis, situated in the Antioquia region.
Upon reaching the central park of the city, we will transition to our off-road vehicle to venture deeper into the forest. A scenic hike will follow, taking us about 40 minutes to an hour through a captivating canyon.
This hike will lead us to a beautiful riverside area, where the anticipation of rafting on the Samaná River heightens. Equipped with helmets and life vests, we will face the thrilling waters aboard an inflatable raft.
Our adventure will unfold over 3 to 4 hours as we navigate approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) of rapids. Be ready to tackle powerful waves, spinning whirlpools, and exhilarating rapids — an unforgettable experience awaits!
The rafting expedition will conclude at a serene location where we will relax and savor a delicious picnic lunch featuring sausages and a selection of fresh, locally sourced fruits.
After lunch, we will travel back to San Luis by off-road vehicle. We’ll then change transportation to return to Medellin, wrapping up our action-packed day and dropping you off at your hotel around 9 hours after the initial pickup.

Alternatively, if you prefer, you can proceed directly to the meeting point at the designated time, found at Central Park San Luis.

- Tour with pickup from Medellin: we’ll collect you from your hotel in Medellin at 8:30 am
- Tour from San Luis: arrive at the San Luis meeting point by 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, or 11 am
Advanced river rafting
If you possess greater experience in river rafting, consider our advanced option on the Samaná River. Please note that the meeting point for this experience is located in Cocorná, not San Luis.

If you choose the tour with transport from Medellin, we'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am. Please be ready at least 10 minutes in advance.
