As we move through the day, you will traverse the rich and sometimes turbulent history of this volcanic island, which has endured numerous earthquakes and foreign incursions, leaving an indelible impact on its landscape.

At the port, you'll encounter a striking monument that greets maritime visitors - a golden statue of the Virgin Mary, a symbol of protection for the city. We’ll share the fascinating stories surrounding this piece of art.

Next, our journey takes us to the Church of the Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani. This stunning structure showcases a blend of Arab, Roman, and Byzantine architectural styles, built atop the remnants of an ancient temple dedicated to Neptune, the sea God.
