Tour Details

We will gather at the scheduled hour at Starbucks on Alfonso Reyes, located in the Condesa district. Our journey will take us south of Mexico City, where a remarkable experience of spiritual enrichment and wellness awaits.

After a scenic ride of approximately 40 minutes, we will reach Aldea Tonatzin, the venue for our temazcal purification ritual. This practice is viewed as sacred by numerous indigenous peoples and continues to serve as a healing method across various regions of Mexico.

Commencing our adventure, we shall stroll through the medicinal garden for roughly 15 minutes, allowing us to bond with nature. Following this, we will enter the temazcal hut, a dome-like structure symbolizing the womb of Mother Earth.

Within this unique environment, you will discover hot volcanic stones that, when mixed with water and aromatic herbs, create a purifying steam. During the ceremony, you will notice how the heat and scents envelop you, melting away tension, detoxifying your body, and enhancing your sense of connection to the natural world. You are welcome to remain inside the temazcal, up to a maximum of 45 minutes.

Upon concluding the ritual, you'll enjoy around half an hour to unwind in the garden and change attire. Once you feel ready, we will head back to the initial meeting place in Colonia Condesa, with our return estimated between 3 to 5 hours later.
