Day of the Dead Tour: Anahuacalli Museum & Xochimilco

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from the Four Points by Sheraton Mexico at the scheduled time. From this central location, we will embark on an immersive evening tour of Mexico City during the Day of the Dead celebrations.

Our first stop will be the Anahuacalli Museum, where you will have the opportunity to admire the stunning offerings presented on the Day of the Dead altar. This venue, dedicated to Diego Rivera's artistic legacy, annually showcases incredible displays that bring the festivities to life from late October until early November, celebrating this cherished night.

Following our visit to the museum, we will make our way to Xochimilco, an area renowned for its scenic canals situated to the south of the city. Here, you will experience a delightful trajinera ride, featuring these vibrantly decorated traditional boats that will reflect the essence of the Day of the Dead festivities.

During the two-hour excursion, you will hear captivating stories about the most celebrated Day of the Dead legends. As a highlight of the experience, enjoy a sampling of local treats, including two tamales, chocolate, and the traditional pan de muerto.

We will wrap up our trajinera adventure back at the starting dock and make our way back to the pickup point, where we will arrive around 10 PM.

Day of the Dead Makeup

If you wish to don traditional Day of the Dead makeup, this option is available for an additional fee. Please inform us of your interest at least two days prior to the activity. The cost for this service is 650MXN per person.
