Day Trip Overview
We will gather at Hostal Amigo in central Mexico City at the agreed time to kick off our day journey to San Miguel de Allende. During the approximately 4-hour drive, you will have opportunities to enjoy striking landscapes along the way.
Upon reaching San Miguel de Allende, experience a 1.5-hour guided exploration of the city's highlights. Key sites include the famous Parish of Saint Michael the Archangel, the Main Garden, the Temple of San Francisco, the Casa de Allende, and the Civic Plaza, among other noteworthy locations.
As we journey through the sights, we will uncover intriguing narratives about Mexico's past. Standing near the Municipal Palace, we will discuss the pivotal role of Miguel Ignacio Allende in the War of Independence, an essential chapter marking the end of colonial rule and the establishment of the First Mexican Empire.
Next, we will visit the Artisanal Market, a vibrant area brimming with creativity where you can admire and, if you wish, purchase stunning items made from papier maché, glass, and various metals. The beauty of this market is sure to leave a lasting impression!
Following the guided tour, you'll have 3.5 hours of leisure time to continue exploring San Miguel de Allende at your own rhythm. Sample some of the local dishes at various restaurants or markets, visit acclaimed art galleries, and take a moment at the viewpoint to capture breathtaking city vistas. A must-see!
Finally, we will depart for Mexico City, concluding our adventure at the initial meeting point after a total duration of 18 hours.
Options for Your Day Trip
While booking, you can select one of two available options:
- Day trip without lunch: This option offers the same itinerary previously outlined, inclusive of round-trip transportation, an English-speaking guide, and a small group setting with a maximum of 12 participants.
- Day trip with lunch: In addition to the earlier mentioned tour, this choice includes a tasty box lunch, with a vegetarian option available! If you select this option, be sure to stop by the café at the meeting point to collect your lunch before we board the bus.

Important information
On the day of the activity, you must make your way to Hostal Amigo, on Calle Isabel La Católica 61-A, Centro. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the designated time.
If you choose this option, you'll have to head to the café in to pick up your lunch before boarding the bus.
Important Info
Due to government immigration regulations, all passengers must present their passports, whether physical, digital, or photocopied, to verify their legal stay in Mexico. If someone cannot present the physical document, they must still show the page of the passport with the entry stamp to the country, as well as the page with the person's details.
