Taxco and Cuernavaca Day Trip

This excursion offers an opportunity to explore the colonial city of Taxco along with its renowned silver mines, as well as a visit to Cuernavaca, known as "the city of eternal springtime," where we will discover one of the oldest cathedrals in the Americas.

Details of the Day Trip

Upon gathering at the predetermined meeting point, we will set off southward towards Cuernavaca, a destination favored for its pleasant climate that draws visitors throughout the year.

Once we arrive in Cuernavaca, our exploration will commence, highlighting the colonial architecture and charming plazas in the historic center. We will make a stop at the cathedral, established by Franciscan monks, recognized as one of the oldest in the continent, and observe the exterior of the Cortés Palace, once the home of conqueror Hernán Cortés, now housing the  Cauhnáhuac Museum.

Continuing our journey, we will travel to Taxco, a historic city perched on a hillside, known for its meandering cobblestone streets and inviting squares. As we navigate through its historic core, we will be enchanted by the majestic ambiance of Taxco, where the palaces, plazas, and buildings evoke a sense of time standing still. We will also visit the principal religious site in the area, Santa Prisca, one of the most significant churches in Mexico.

After the tour, you will enjoy an hour of leisure time to have lunch and explore the city center at your own rhythm.

Recognized as the silver capital of the world, Taxco's silver mines and artisan shops are a must-see; here, you can find local silver crafts at attractive prices.

This tour offers hotel pickup exclusively from accommodations situated in the following tourist zones of Mexico City: the historic center, Polanco, and Zona Rosa. For hotels outside these areas, we will arrange to meet at the Hotel Emporio Reforma.
