Frida Kahlo Tour
This Frida Kahlo experience in Mexico City commences at the scheduled time in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Our exploration begins at the Plaza del Zócalo, where we will make our way through the historic center of the city toward the Ministry of Public Education. Here, we will admire stunning murals and other renowned artworks created by Diego Rivera, Kahlo's husband. Insightful narratives about his life will enrich our understanding before we proceed to the old San Ildefonso School.
Continuing, we will pass through Alameda Central, one of the most ancient public parks in the Americas. Our culinary adventure awaits at the Coyoacán Market, where we will indulge in a delightful food tasting.
Post-lunch, we will head to Coyoacán, the neighborhood that served as home to both Kahlo and Rivera. Did you know they shared a deep bond with Russian exiles? We will explore this connection at the House-Museum of Leon Trotsky.
Our next landmark is the Frida Kahlo Museum, set in the iconic Casa Azul. This residence, home to the couple from 1929 to 1954, offers profound insights into their lives and contributions to art.
We will conclude our tour at the Frida Kahlo Museum after approximately 7-8 hours of engaging exploration.
