Tour Overview

Our adventure begins at a convenient central location, from where we will journey southwards from Mexico City, eventually reaching Coyoacán, one of the city's most historic neighborhoods. This locale has served as the residence of influential figures like Leon Trotsky, Octavio Paz, Diego Rivera, and Frida Kahlo.

Upon arrival in Coyoacán, you will delve into its storied past, exploring everything from the establishment of the area's first communities in the highlands of Mesoamerica to its ascent after the Spanish conquests. You’ll also have an opportunity to enjoy some breakfast.

Strolling through its charming cobbled streets and beautiful plazas, you will admire the majestic Baroque mansions from the 16th century. A highlight of the day will be visiting the Frida Kahlo Museum, located in the remarkable Casa Azul. Here, we will uncover the personal realm of this iconic Latin American artist as we tour the house where she was born, created a significant portion of her artwork, and ultimately passed away.

Subsequently, we’ll continue our exploration in Xochimilco, where we will appreciate the exquisite blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Here, you will board a trajinera, a small traditional boat adorned with vibrant flowers, to navigate the canals and artificial islands that UNESCO has recognized as a World Heritage Site. You'll also have time to enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch at your leisure.

After approximately 9 hours of discovery, we will commence our return journey to the central meeting point in Mexico City.

Pickup from Hotels

During the reservation process, you have the option to choose between a tour without lunch, with pickup. If you select this, we will collect you from your hotel in the Polanco, Reforma, Roma-Condesa and Historic Centre areas. Should you be lodging elsewhere and find that no other options are available on your booking date, you'll need to make your own way to the meeting point at the Cancino Cibeles restaurant.
