This excursion to Santiago de Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende offers an opportunity to delve into the fascinating history and stunning architecture of two of Mexico’s significant colonial towns.

Tour Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Mexico City at the scheduled time, setting the stage for an enlightening day exploring two pivotal colonial cities in Mexico.

Following a scenic drive of about three hours, we will reach Querétaro, renowned for its Spanish colonial buildings and noteworthy pink stone aqueduct. A guided walking tour through the city center allows us to discover key landmarks, including the Panteón de los Queretanos Ilustres, the Plaza de Armas, and the Casa de la Corregidora.

Our exploration will continue as we wander through the Plaza de los Fundadores, marveling at the Convento de la Santa Cruz and the grand Teatro de la República, noteworthy for the signing of the 1917 Constitution and the inaugural performance of the National Anthem.

After an hour and a half in Querétaro, we'll regroup at our vehicle for a journey of approximately one hour to San Miguel de Allende. Once we arrive, we'll visit the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, famous for its remarkable neo-Gothic spires dominating the main square.

Explore the vibrant cobbled streets and take in attractions like the Plaza Allende, the Temple of San Francisco, and the local handicraft market. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and sample the delightful local cuisine.

Finally, we'll depart for Mexico City, and by the end of the day, you will be returned to your hotel approximately 9 to 10 hours after the start of this memorable excursion.
