Day of the Dead Immersion

"Because death is life, light lights elsewhere," encapsulates the essence of the Day of the Dead festival for the people of Mexico, as famously depicted in the film Coco. Recognized as a World Heritage celebration, we will begin our exploration with intriguing stories and insights at 154 Avenida de la República, the starting point of our adventure.

Once onboard our vehicle, we’ll head towards San Andrés Mixquic, one of the seven original towns located in Alcaldía Tláhuac. During our ride, we will enjoy a picnic-style lunch, ensuring we have the energy to fully appreciate the experiences that await us.

Upon arrival, our first stop will be the historic center of San Andrés Mixquic, where we’ll be surrounded by stunning Day of the Dead decorations. As we stroll through the vibrant streets, we'll uncover the rich history behind this celebration. Were you aware that during the Aztec era, the living had unique ways of honoring their deceased loved ones?

We’ll also visit the San Andrés Apóstol Church and observe various altars for the Day of the Dead.
