Teotihuacán Hot Air-Balloon Ride + Basilica of Guadalupe
Description
If you're in Mexico City, you can't miss seeing Teotihuacan. On this tour, we'll take a hot-air balloon ride over this archaeological site, visit it and then also discover the Basilica of Guadalupe. Adventure, culture and history in one day.
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet next to the Citibanamex at the Angel of Independence monument and begin a day trip to explore key tourist attractions in Mexico City.
We will start at the Teotihuacan Archaeological Site with a hot-air balloon ride at sunrise. After a safety briefing, we will lift off for a 30-minute flight over this legendary site, enjoying views of the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon.
After landing, a flight certificate and a glass of sparkling wine will be provided, followed by a buffet-style breakfast at a nearby restaurant. We'll then visit an artisan workshop to learn about obsidian use and agave’s significance, including a tasting of tequila and other traditional drinks.
Next, we'll enjoy a 3-hour guided tour of the Teotihuacan ruins, including the Avenue of the Dead and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. Following this, there will be free time for lunch before proceeding to the Basilica of Guadalupe.
At the Basilica, we will tour the religious complex where the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared. The tour will include the Expiatory Temple of Christ the King, the New Basilica, and the Chapel of Pocito.
After this day full of adventures, we will return to the starting point, concluding the tour 11 hours later.
