Sforza Castle & Branca Tower Guided Tour
Description
Experience the intriguing history and captivating charm of Milan through this guided exploration of two iconic landmarks: the Castello Sforzesco and the Torre Branca, both situated within the picturesque Parco Sempione.
Tour Overview
The narrative of Milan extends well beyond its famed cathedral. At the agreed-upon moment, we will convene at the Triennale di Milano to embark on a journey through two must-see sites in Parco Sempione.
Your adventure will begin at the impressive Torre Branca, a modernist masterpiece constructed in 1930 and crafted by architect Gio Ponti. Reaching a height of over 108 meters (354 feet), this tower features an eye-catching design with glass elements. After a swift ascent in its modern elevator, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic vistas of the cityscape, the Alps, and the Apennines from the observation deck.
Once you've soaked in the spectacular scenery, we will descend back down into Parco Sempione and stroll towards the Castello Sforzesco. As we traverse the park's verdant pathways, you'll have the opportunity to discover some of its hidden gems.
Upon reaching the castle, we'll wander through notable outdoor areas and courtyards such as the Piazza d'Armi, Corte Ducale, and Cortile della Rocchetta. Throughout this experience, you will admire the fortress's impressive architecture and delve into the history behind Milan's rise as a key European city, all while uncovering tales about Italy's influential families.
After a captivating 2-hour tour, we will conclude our journey with farewells outside the majestic Castello Sforzesco.
