Canyonlands Off-Roading Tour
Description
Are you ready to explore the hidden gems of Canyonlands? Join us on this off-road adventure, where you will embark on a memorable journey through breathtaking desert scenery and take in the views from the Gooseneck viewpoint.
Activity Details
We’ll convene at 321 N Main St at the scheduled time, and once all participants are present, we will commence our off-roading expedition in Canyonlands National Park.
Once aboard our rugged vehicle, we will make our way into the Colorado River corridor, situated just outside Moab. Prepare to traverse through the mesmerizing red-rock desert, a unique tapestry of landscapes that many seldom experience.
As we journey onward, you will learn about the geological history of one of the West Coast's most remarkable regions. This area spans over 1300 square kilometers (500 square miles) of intricate canyon systems, earning its title as the Land of Canyons.
The park also hosts significant rock art, showcasing daily life scenes from the native cultures that once inhabited this land. A visit to the renowned Gooseneck viewpoint, which offers striking vistas of the Colorado River, will be followed by a part of the White Rim Trail leading to Musselman Arch, a stunning natural stone formation.
The tour culminates as we navigate the curves of the Shafer Trail to ascend to the heights of the Island in the Sky mesa, where you will take in some of the most breathtaking desert vistas.
We will conclude our experience with the return journey to the starting point after an enriching 4 hours together.
