Tour Overview

We'll convene at the car park of Parque dos Condes de Monforte de Lemos at the scheduled time and embark on our journey to marvel at the unique vineyard landscapes of the Ribeira del Miño.

Our first destination will be the Monastery of Ferreira de Pantón, renowned for its remarkable Romanesque architecture and inhabited by nuns since the 10th century, making it a significant historical site.

Next, we’ll head to the church of San Paio de Diomondi, a stunning example from the 12th century. Its Romanesque features will transport you back to medieval times. Did you know there are inscriptions on its walls that give a glimpse into its past? We’ll unveil these secrets!

Following this, we'll visit the church of Santo Estevo de Ribas do Miño, perched at a natural overlook that offers breathtaking views of the Minho River. Here, we’ll admire the steep vineyard-covered hills and the river's winding path.

By now, hunger will likely set in, so we’ll pause for a lunch break. Once replenished, we’ll embark on a 2-hour boat cruise along the Minho River, where we’ll delve deeper into the region's famous viticulture, a hallmark of the Ribeira Sacra.

As we conclude our exploration of the Ribeira do Minho, a visit to the Cabo do Mundo viewpoint will highlight the spectacular meanders formed by the river over the years.

After an enriching 8-hour experience, we will return to our departure point in Monforte de Lemos.
