We'll gather at the designated location, 66 Fishermans Wharf at the specified time, to embark on our whale watching journey in Monterrey. Are you prepared for an unforgettable marine exploration?
As we set sail, we will navigate the waters adjacent to Monterrey in search of the renowned California gray whales. Throughout our voyage, the crew, consisting of biologists and naturalists, will share fascinating insights about the rich marine ecosystem of the area. Additionally, they will offer tips on capturing stunning photos and videos of the wildlife we encounter, ensuring you take home lasting memories!
Monterey Bay boasts deep, cold, and nutrient-rich waters, making it an ideal setting for observing marine creatures up close. This region is also known for housing the third-largest submarine canyon worldwide, which sustains a diverse array of marine mammals and avian species.
Beyond gray whales, we may also have the opportunity to glimpse other majestic sea life, including blue whales, humpback whales, fin whales, Minke whales, and orcas from April through November. Keep an eye out for dolphins swimming near the coastline year-round, along with seabirds and perhaps even seals.
After approximately 2.5 hours of exploration, we will return to our initial meeting point.

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the designated time at 96 Fisherman's Wharf (https://maps.app.goo.gl/5YN5bPoCdYZeDByW8). Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early.
Look for the bright yellow building at the end of Fisherman's Wharf, next to the shops and restaurants. It's a 5 to 10-minute walk from the car park.
Please Note
- If you're travelling by car, the nearest paid car park to the pier is the Monterey Waterfront Parking Lot at 101 Washington St.
- This activity isn't recommended for pregnant women.
