Arteaga Day Trip

Explore an enchanting Pueblo Mágico positioned within the beautiful Sierra Madre Occidental on this exciting day trip to Arteaga, departing from Monterrey.

Activity Overview

We will pick you up at the designated hour in the morning from the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey. Following this, we will embark on our journey to the Pueblo Mágico ('Magic Town') of Arteaga.

Upon arrival, we will visit the intriguing irrigation canal that weaves its way through the town. Next, we'll stroll through Alameda Square on our way to the Church of San Isidro Labrador, an impressive basilica from the 18th century, notable for its grand four-tiered tower.

If your visit coincides with a Sunday, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a traditional market, brimming with local artisan crafts and regional goods. This two-hour interlude allows ample time to savor lunch and pick up some unique souvenirs.

Following our market visit, we will head to San Antonio de las Alazanas, an area renowned for its apple and quince orchards within the municipality of Arteaga.

Not far from this locality, we will also tour the harvesting areas nestled in the Arteaga mountain range, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Sierra Madre Occidental.

As we return, a brief stop at the village of Mesa de Tablas will provide us with an opportunity to appreciate the stunning landscapes of Coahuila. We will conclude our day trip, arriving back at the meeting point in Monterrey approximately 10 hours later.
