Bustamante Day Trip
Description
This incredible excursion to Bustamante offers the perfect chance to uncover one of Nuevo León's best-kept secrets. You will explore the renowned Bustamante Caves and savor the region's delectable artisan bread.
Day Trip Details
At the appointed hour, we will meet you at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey. From this location, we will embark on a two-hour minibus journey to the charming town of Bustamante.
Our first stop will be the Grottos of Bustamante. Upon disembarking from the minibus, a leisurely 15-minute walk will lead us to the entrance. Our guide will then take us through this wonderful series of underground chambers, where we can marvel at various caverns and formations, including the Ballroom, the Wedding Dress, and the Elephant. You'll learn how these grottos were originally named the Caves of La Palma, in honor of the explorer who first uncovered them.
Following this exploration, we'll stop at a local eatery for a delightful lunch (not provided). Rejuvenated, we'll stroll through the historical center of Bustamante, discovering its most notable landmarks. This includes visits to the Museum of Simple Things and the Alley of the Kiss, among other unique spots.
While wandering through Bustamante, you'll also have the chance to indulge in the tasty artisan bread this region is known for. Made from wheat flour, nuts, cinnamon, and cocoa, this bread is baked in a traditional stone oven.
After our time in Bustamante, we will board the minibus once more for the return journey to our initial meeting point in Monterrey.
