Bustamante Trip
Description
This remarkable excursion to Bustamante presents a unique opportunity to explore one of Nuevo León’s best-kept secrets. Your journey features a visit to the renowned Bustamante Caves along with a chance to savor the delightful artisan bread produced in the region.
Trip Overview
At the agreed-upon time, your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Monterrey. Following this, we embark on a two-hour journey by minibus towards the charming town of Bustamante.
Our first destination will be the Grottos of Bustamante. Upon arrival, a gentle 15-minute stroll will lead us to the entrance of these fascinating natural wonders. Here, a knowledgeable guide will escort us through a stunning array of underground chambers, revealing various formations such as the Ballroom, the Wedding Dress, and the Elephant. You will learn about their original name, the Caves of La Palma, honoring the explorer who first brought them to light.
Following our exploration, we will pause at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch (not included). Refreshed from our meal, we will venture into the historic center of Bustamante for a leisurely walk, uncovering its notable landmarks. Highlights include the Museum of Simple Things and the Alley of the Kiss, among other captivating sites.
While wandering through Bustamante, don’t miss the chance to sample the delicious artisan bread crafted in the area. This delectable treat combines wheat flour, nuts, cinnamon, and cocoa, all skillfully baked in a traditional stone oven.
After our visit to Bustamante, we will return to the minibus for the journey back to your accommodations in Monterrey.
