Kayaking on the River Ebro to Miravet
Description
Combine exploration and adventure with this kayaking journey along the Ebro River - immerse yourself in the vibrant ecosystem as you experience the thrill!
Description
At the scheduled time, we will convene at the dock in Mora la Nueva, where participants will receive essential guidance on operating the kayaks prior to embarking on an exhilarating kayak excursion on the Ebro River!
Shortly after our departure, we will glide beneath the renowned arched bridge of Móra la Nova. This bridge, a significant landmark, was reconstructed following the Spanish Civil War. During our journey, we will share stories regarding the settlements of our Iberian ancestors and interesting tales surrounding the Battle of the Ebro, among other captivating insights!
As we slowly navigate down the river, you will have the opportunity to admire the lush riverside flora we encounter, particularly evident near the Galatxo Islands and the picturesque village of Castellet de Banyoles.
We will also take a quick break on an island near Benissanet for a refreshing swim to rejuvenate ourselves. Our paddle will continue downstream, ultimately reaching the base of Miravet Castle, a magnificent medieval edifice that exemplifies Templar architecture.
Upon concluding our kayaking adventure in Miravet, we will transition to a minibus that will return us to our starting point, with an anticipated arrival time of 12:30 pm.
