Our meeting point is set for the designated time next to the Church of Saint Barbara in Moscow. From this location, we will stroll through the historic streets, surrounded by old merchants' homes and grand mansions along Varvarka Street. Here, we will find the impressive Chambers of the Romanov Boyars.

This particular residence was owned by Nikita Romanovich Yuryev, the forebear of Michael I, the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty. Before ascending to imperial rule, the Romanovs were esteemed members of the boyar class, a powerful group of landowners in ancient Russia. It was within these walls that the dynasty governed Russia for over 300 years began to unfold. Would you like to delve deeper into this captivating tale?

Throughout our visit, we will explore various rooms within the mansion, constructed from white stone and brick in the traditional Muscovite architectural style. On the ground level, we will observe the storerooms and cellars, which housed food supplies, household items, and everyday artifacts.

Moving to the upper levels, we will uncover the family living quarters, adorned with exquisite 17th-century furniture, textiles, and tableware.

This guided experience will culminate in the courtyard of the Romanov Boyars' residence after a 2-hour tour.
